NPD -- Multi-Screen Capabilities

Over 80% of U.S. smartphone users stream video to their devices, according to recent NPD research.
So players must be built with mobile and multi-screen use in mind at all times — not only to facilitate playback of short-form video content, but also long-form content and ads. More and more, companies are offering mobile first content made for smaller screens.
