Seeking Alpha -- Facebook Q4 2014 Preview: Video, The Near-Term Catalyst

Video remains the near-term opportunity for FB, given that TV is the last advertising frontier that has yet to see a material decline in ad dollars (still growing ~2% p.a.). I expect FB to develop premium ad formats to attract TV dollars, and solid execution on this area could result in upside risk to consensus long-term estimates. Worth noting is that the rollout of video ad formats has been slow, and this is largely expected, so near-term estimates on video may be overly bullish.
